Due to the tremendous growth of Awana on Wednesday nights we are in need of many new workers. Please join us in praying for God to send the people needed to listen to the children memorize and hide God’s Word in their heart. A training meeting will be held for all volunteers August 13 in room 2201 at 6:30pm. For more information, contact Judy Lloyd at 850.475.1108 or email@example.com.
AWANA is an exciting discipleship program that runs Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm throughout the school year and offers activities for children two years old through fifth grade.
Puggles is a fairly new branch of AWANA where sound Bible teaching is offered for children who turn two by September 1 of the school year. For more information, contact Shannon Brock at 850.473.4461 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cubbies is geared for children who turn three or four by September 1 of the school year and is dedicated to Bible teaching and Scripture memory. Parents of Cubbies may purchase a Cubbie vest, book, and bag at a nominal charge, and children may earn patches for their vests throughout the year by learning Bible verses. AWANA concludes in May with an Awards Night in the Worship Center where our Cubbies who have satisfied the verse requirements will be recognized and receive their reward.
If you would like to volunteer in our Cubbies ministry, please complete a Volunteer Application (pdf) which will be used by our staff to conduct a background screening. For more information, contact Shannon Brock at 850.473.4461 or email@example.com.
The Awana club for children in kindergarten through second grade builds on the material taught in our preschool club. The aim of the curriculum is to take youngsters a step deeper into God’s Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the Gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ. After being immersed in solid foundational teaching at the preschool level, boys and girls frequently come to an understanding of their need to trust Christ as their personal Savior while in Sparks.
The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of Awana to teach third through fifth grade boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. Our goal is that many of today’s young people will become tomorrow’s church leaders. T&T is the program that trains the leaders of tomorrow — today.
