Grief Support Ministry Meetings
Wednesdays
6:00-8:00pm
Room 5207
This is a weekly support meeting for those grieving the loss of a loved one. Each session consists of a video, group discussion and a workbook. Meetings are held once a week for 13 weeks. Our facilitator for this session is Carl Misner.
The Grief Support Ministry is designed to help you recover from the deep hurt that comes with the loss of someone close to you. Grief Support Ministry includes three key elements to help you in the healing process:
At each session you will view a video on an issue related to grief and loss.
After the video you will become part of a small support group. Your group will discuss what was seen on the video and what is going on in our lives. Your group leaders will have a set of discussion questions to help guide the group time.
Personal Reflections: between sessions, you'll have time to reflect on what happened at your group meeting and how the concepts you discussed might apply to your personal circumstances.
Personal Study: You will have the opportunity to work through a section each week in a workbook at home. It will lead you to some relevant and practical sections of the Bible and guide you through a personal evaluation of how these verses apply directly to your situation.
