Men, mark your calendars for Friday, January 16, for our next Kingdom Men’s Rally. Our speakers are Pastor Ken Whitten of Idlewild Baptist Church in Tampa and UWF’s Coach Pete Shinnick. The cost of $15 includes a steak dinner. Tickets are on sale Sundays in the foyer or at the main office during the week.

What marks and motivates Pastor Whitten the most is the high honor of being Idlewild’s Senior Pastor these past 25 years and being on mission with God in West Africa, China, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Romania, England, Paraguay, Panama, and Guatemala. From 1982-1989, Whitten was privileged to serve at Bellevue Baptist Church, Memphis, TN, under the leadership of Dr. Adrian Rogers, whom he considers his spiritual father. Ken Whitten is married to his bride Ginny.  They’ve been blessed with 4 children and 10 grandchildren.

Pete Shinnick

UWF Football Coach

After a collegiate coaching career spanning more than 25 years, Pete Shinnick came to the University of West Florida in 2014 as the school’s first football head coach. Shinnick’s career has included stints as a head coach at Azusa Pacific and UNC Pembroke, and he will lead the UWF football program in its first season in 2016.

Shinnick most recently coached at UNC Pembroke, where he was hired in 2005 to bring football back to the university after an absence of more than 50 years. He built the Braves into a nationally-ranked NCAA Division II team and compiled a record of 50-24 in seven seasons. Before bringing football back to UNC Pembroke, Shinnick made his mark as head coach of former NAIA powerhouse Azusa Pacific. In seven years with the Cougars, his teams posted a mark of 53-22 and earned two national semifinalist finishes.

Enjoy a FREE Steak Dinner, praise and worship music, and a gospel message. Average attendance: 250-300 men. Located at 5800 Pilgrim Trail West, Molino, Florida 32577.

Turn right off this road up a dirt road to the Barn Meeting
