Find ways to grow in your faith and increase your knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Sunday morning small groups are about connecting—connecting with the truths in scripture as we explore the Bible, connecting with God as we pray together, and connecting with other believers as we develop friendships. Connection groups meet at 8:00 or 9:30am every Sunday. Different formats are available: coed, ladies only, topical Bible study, or Bible study book-by-book.
A variety of women’s classes are available throughout the year to provide opportunities to become more effective followers of Jesus Christ. Included are groups for in-depth Bible studies, current issues facing women, and book studies from authors like Kay Arthur and Beth Moore. Class schedules are listed in the discipleship brochure available at the information desk, in the church office, or online.
Mom to Mom is a Biblically based parenting program designed around the Titus 2:4 concept of older women teaching and encouraging younger women in their relationships with their husbands and children. It includes quality instruction in parenting, small group discussion, and the interaction of more experienced mothers with younger moms. Designed to be both a place of nurture for committed Christian women and a “safe place” to bring community friends, it often becomes a bridge into the church. Mom to Mom meets during the school year and breaks for summer (same as school calendar). For more information, visit Mom to Mom at Olive Baptist Church on Facebook.
Pack up your tools and your projects and join the scrapbooking group for a fun night of cropping and fellowship. They meet the first Friday of each month from 6:00pm until midnight. The cost is $5. The meeting includes supper and a devotion time.
