Thank you for your many prayers. We had a very successful trip to Louisiana this past week. Our team was able to serve many families in need by not only cutting trees, removing debris, and tarping roofs, but also through praying with them. It is great to serve at a church who allows us to serve others in so many ways. You should be very proud of the Southern Baptist Association and what your support is doing.

Disaster Relief Team

OBC Disaster Relief Team is officially on standby. We are working in conjunction with Florida Baptist Convention as a responding unit. They are in constant contact with Homeland Security, FEMA, and other government agencies that control access into a disaster area.

OBC is a staging area for Florida Baptist Disaster Relief teams and volunteers, which includes feeding units and sleeping for teams traveling through the area.

If you are interested in responding with the OBC DR Team, please email contact info to Charlotte Gafford at cgafford@olivebaptist.org.

You will need to be able to respond for a minimum of 3 consecutive days and a maximum of 5 consecutive days.

We will post a list of all items you will need if you plan to go. Until we know where we are going and where we are staying, we will not post the list.
