Office Assistant – Church Office

Part-Time up to 29 hours

Principle Function: The Office Assistant performs various duties to support the church office and assists the Office Manager/Administrator in performing other duties as assigned.

 

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Answering/routing incoming calls on multi-line phone

  • Greet/assist walk-in visitors

  • Direct walk-ins to appropriate ministry

  • Receive/sort/distribute a variety of correspondence

  • Receive payments – cash, checks, credit cards

  • Enter/Update membership records in the database

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • The office assistant candidate should have a minimum of a high school diploma.

  • In addition, the candidate should have 2+ years related experience, demonstrate typing skills, and demonstrate a good command of English (oral and written).

  • Olive Baptist Church members preferred.

Middle School Ministry Associate

Position Title: Middle School Ministry Female Associate
Ministry Area: Student Ministry – Middle School
Reports To: Minister of Middle School
Status: Part-Time Staff (Average 10 to 15 hours per week)

Position Objective

Serve under the Minister of Middle School to help carry out a thriving and robust Middle School Ministry that reaches and develops middle school students and their familieswith the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with a primary focus on building, developing, and leading a girls-focused ministry within the Middle School Ministry.

 

Key Responsibilities

Ministry Alignment & Support

• Carry out the overall vision and mission of Olive Baptist Church and the Middle School Ministry.

• Collaborate with the Middle School Pastor and ministry team to plan and execute the ministry calendar and weekly rhythms.

 

Girls Ministry Leadership (Primary Focus)

• Plan, develop, and lead girls-specific ministry events and gatherings aligned with the Middle School Ministry's overall vision.

• Provide consistent presence and pastoral care support for middle school girls, leaders, and moms as appropriate to support spiritual growth, discipleship, and connection.

 

Relational Discipleship & Family Partnership

• Meet hospitality needs in the ministry and assist in the shepherding and assimilation of students (e.g., “first impression” of first-time guests/families, helping to create a warm and welcoming environment, follow-up, etc.)

• Develop meaningful relationships with students, adult leaders, and parents.

• Help strengthen family partnership by assisting with parent communication and follow-up.

 

Programming & Event Leadership

• Assist in planning and executing Middle School Ministry environments and events, including:

o Midweek Worship

o Sunday Connection Groups

o Weekend events

o Summer camp

o Other ministry gatherings as needed

• Provide support in event logistics, communication, preparation, volunteer coordination, and onsite execution.

 

 

 

Platform & Communication

• Serve in platform responsibilities as needed (hosting, announcements, leading moments, teaching as appropriate).

• Support and/or manage ministry communication, including social media responsibilities and promotional messaging.

 

Other Duties

• Perform other responsibilities necessary to support the Middle School Ministry, as assigned by the Middle School Pastor.

 

 

Additional Expectations / Qualifications

• Profess faith in Jesus Christ and have been baptized.

• Evidence of a call to ministry and a desire to pursue ministry leadership and development.

• Love for students and a heart for discipleship.

• Willingness to learn, grow, and receive coaching.

• Ability to work as a team player with church staff and volunteers, with a servant-hearted attitude.

• Strong relational, organizational, and communication skills.

• Working knowledge (or ability to learn) the following tools:

 Work Schedule (General)

• Average 10 to 15 hours per week.

• Scheduling will include key ministry times (typically Sundays and Wednesdays) plus planning, preparation, communication, and event support hours during the week.

• Additional hours may be required during camps, retreats, and major events (with schedule adjustments as needed).

ROC Front Desk Associate- Part Time

part time: mornings - 15-20 hours/week

Reports To:

ROC Operations Coordinator

Job Overview:

Positon exists to be the face of the ROC for all those who come in to use our facilities. The definition of success is patrons of our gym recognizing the exemplary professionalism and customer service of our staff.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The following list is not exhaustive, but contains many of the primary responsibilities of this position:

·       Welcome and check in guests

·       Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the ROC

·       Serve guests in the concession stand

·       Stock concessions items

·       Serve as part of game day team during sports seasons.

·       Monitor weight room and gym

Physical Requirements:

·       Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 80 pounds occasionally

·       Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

·       Physical ability to work around children including sitting, standing, and climbing stairs

 

Special Needs Worker

Part Time: Approx. 10 Hours - Sundays And Wednesdays

I.              Basic Function:

Is responsible for providing a safe, healthy, and loving environment for students with special needs.

     

II.            Working Relationships:

a.     Reports to:  Director of Special Needs Ministry

b.     Works beside:  Children’s ministry staff and all OBC personnel

 

III.          Basic Responsibilities:

a.     Meet the spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, and social needs of special needs students

b.     Share biblical truths with special needs students

c.     Love and minister to parents of special needs students

IV.          Principle Accountabilities:

a.     Help provide and maintain a Christian environment in which the students may grow physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and spiritually

b.     Follow the policies and procedures of Olive Baptist Church

c.     Be polite, friendly, and courteous and seek to develop good trusting relationships with all students, parents, and volunteers

d.     Work according to the schedule outlined by the Minister to Children

V.            Desired Qualifications:

a.     Be a Christian, preferably Southern Baptist

b.     Be at least 18 years of age

c.     Demonstrate a loving spirit

d.     Be in good health, able to bend, stoop and physically able to take care of students

Marketing Communications Internship - Unpaid Intern

Part Time: Approx. 29 hours/week part time

Job Overview

This is an unpaid internship located in Pensacola, FL for a Marketing Communications Intern. The Marketing Communications Intern will assist in either graphic design projects, social media management, and/or creative video production depending on their skillset. Tasks include coordinating marketing activities, creating content, and ensuring consistent messaging across various platforms. We want to help you fulfill your college credits!

Music Faculty - Music Studios at Olive

Part Time: 5-18 hours per week

Principle Function:

Provide high-quality music instruction to students in the Music Studios at Olive

Principle Accountabilities

  • Teach weekly lessons to assigned students

  • Communicate with students and families of students regarding progress, needed materials, and

    upcoming events

  • Attend end-of-semester recitals

Desired Qualifications

The candidate should have a degree in the field of music. Teaching experience is desired but not required. Teachers are encouraged to obtain membership in appropriate music teachers associations.

Essential Competencies

  • Strong understanding of pedagogy for their instrument

  • Strong performing skills on their instrument

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to work with a wide age-range of individuals
