It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. Grief Support helps you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.

This is a weekly support meeting for those grieving the loss of a loved one. Each session consists of a video, group discussion and a workbook. Meetings are held once a week for 13 weeks.

The Grief Support Ministry is designed to help you recover from the deep hurt that comes with the loss of someone close to you. Grief Support Ministry includes three key elements to help you in the healing process:

At each session you will view a video on an issue related to grief and loss.

Support Group
Everyone will watch a video together. Afterwards there will be facilitator-led information about what was seen on the video and what is going on in everyone’s lives. You can choose to participate in the discussion or allow the facilitator to bring this information to the group. Each group carries its own dynamics which changes from session to session.

Between Sessions

• Personal Reflections: between sessions, you'll have time to reflect on what happened at your group meeting and how the concepts you discussed might apply to your personal circumstances.

• Personal Study: You will have the opportunity to work through a section each week in a workbook at home. It will lead you to some relevant and practical sections of the Bible and guide you through a personal evaluation of how these verses apply directly to your situation.

Personal Planning Guide (pdf)

The planning guide is a small brochure for you to fill out and keep in your records until the time of your departure from earth. It serves as a guide for the pastor or speaker at your funeral and contains questions about your salvation, your favorite scripture, and what you would like to be remembered for. Print a planning guide from this pdf file and fill it out on your own at home.
