Dave Paxton Memorial Fund
To honor Dave’s life and legacy,
Olive Baptist Church is establishing an endowment fund to support youth ministries.
Initially, the fund will provide support for youth that lack the financial resources to attend youth camp, participate in mission trips, and attend seminary to become a youth pastor.
Olive Baptist Church Finance Committee will oversee the management and administration of the fund.
While some see youth ministry as a entry point into ministry, Dave Paxton saw it as his life calling.
Dave was a one-of-a-kind youth pastor who spent forty-six years pointing youths to Christ. Dave was a gifted Bible teacher, preacher, and speaker and was exceptionally creative in reaching others for Christ.
He had the gift of finding the hurting and making them feel accepted and loved—pointing them to Jesus was his greatest joy.
His positive spiritual impact on the thousands of people he encouraged was profound. He was a father figure to so many kids that stayed in touch with him decades after they had left his ministry.
