Job Description: Team members encourage and serves those taking their next step in believers’ baptism at Olive. This team demonstrates Christian maturity displaying the importance of baptism in the Christian life. This team serves new believers spiritually and practically during their baptism experience.

Desired Spiritual Gifts: We are looking for those gifted and characterized by joy, encouragement, administration, serving, and helping others.

Time Commitment:

  • Sunday AM from 8:30AM-11:30AM (typically once monthly)

  • Occasional special events

 

Duties Overview:

  • Prepare baptism room (turn on lights, open doors, pull materials, etc.).

  • Meet with all baptism candidates.

  • Input information into baptism iPad.

  • Get to know those ready for baptism.

  • Provide a relaxing and friendly environment for everyone in the room.

  • Play the baptism video.

  • Assist where necessary in both locker rooms.

  • Ensure every baptized person receives Baptism Certificate, Devotional booklet, andInvitations to Next Steps Class and New Believers Class.

  • Stay and clean up any left-over water in the locker rooms before leaving for service.
